Measuring your Equine
For a proper fitting Rope Halter

Below are two diagrams of proper fitting halters.

Horse

Long Ear

THE (2) BASIC MEASUREMENTS

1) The nose measurement should be done one inch below the cheek bone and completely around the nose.

2) The poll measurement is done at one inch below the cheek bone, up and over the poll to the same spot on the other side.

Complete Nose and Over the Poll

I like snug measurements from you and I will allow a couple of inches for comfort.

FOR THE ODD SHAPED EQUINE HEAD

I suggest you take a few more measurements.

Although some horses have irregular shaped heads.  This mainly applies to mini horses and all long ears, as God made them special and each one unique.

A POOR FITTING ROPE HALTER

One that is too low on the nose or one that is too high,
will not be as effective, as one that fits just right.

Noseband Too Low

You can never go wrong taking measurements.
Just email them to me along with your order.
